on Monday, 01 December 2014.

OAKVILLE, Ontario - PCDI Canada recently saw the 150th enrollment in its Hotel & Restaurant Management program since it entered into a partnership with the National Food Safety Training Program to include the NFSTP’s online food handling training and certification exam in the program. Graduates enrolling in the Hotel & Restaurant Management program have the option, at no extra cost, to obtain food handling certification by successfully completing the NFSTP’s Food Safety training and Certification exam. This option is also available to graduates of PCDI’s Gourmet Cooking & Catering Program.

“Provincial and municipal regulations in Canada often mandate food handler training and certification for people working in food handling facilities such as restaurants,” explained Michael Scott, General Manager of PCDI Canada explained, “and employers in the food service industry may require food handler training and certification even if it is not mandated by regulations. The NFSTP Food Safety Training Program,” he continued,” provides nationally recognized food safety training and certification in Canada. We partnered with the NFSTP to help our Hotel & Restaurant Management Graduates, as well as our Gourmet Cooking and Catering graduates, obtain the training and certification that they may need to enter the career of their choice. The NFSTP’s training and certification exam is an important option, available in an online format and at no extra cost.”

PCDI Canada, based in Oakville, Ontario, is the Canadian division of Ashworth College, a leading US distance educator based in Norcross, Georgia. PCDI has been serving Canadian since 1987.
