Regulatory and Legal
PCDI Canada adheres to state and federal laws and regulations, as well as accreditation requirements. Therefore, your information may be shared with a regulatory and/or accrediting agency.
PCDI Canada works collaboratively with organizations to assist with certification, licensure, support for employment, and additional educational support. Personal information may be shared with a partnering organization.
In the general course of conducting business, PCDI Canada may share your information with organizations to perform certain services. These services may include postal carriers, customer service, and marketing analysis. If a service provider has access to your personal information to perform their duties, they are strictly forbidden to use or share your information for any other purpose.
PCDI Canada may provide financial outstanding balances to a collection agency. For more information, please see the Catalog for the Collections Policy. The collection agency will work with students to resolve any outstanding balance. Collection agencies may report outstanding balances to one or more credit bureaus.
PCDI Canada’s policy regarding confidentiality is in keeping with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and affords student certain rights with respect to their education records. This includes the following:
- The right to inspect and review the student's education records within 45 days of the day PCDI Canada receives a request for access
- The right to request the amendment of the student's education records that the student believes are inaccurate
- The right to consent to disclosures of personally identifiable information contained in the student's education records, except to the extent that FERPA authorizes disclosure without consent. One exception which permits disclosure without consent is disclosure to school officials with legitimate educational interests. School officials are individuals or entities working for, or on the behalf of, the educational institution. A school official has a legitimate educational interest if the official needs to review an education record in order to fulfill his or her professional responsibility. As allowed within FERPA guidelines, PCDI Canada may disclose education records without consent to officials of another school, upon request, in which a student seeks or intends to enroll.
- The right to file a complaint with the US Department of Education concerning alleged failure by PCDI Canada to comply with the requirements of FERPA.
t its discretion, PCDI Canada may provide Directory Information in accordance with the provisions of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act. Directory Information is defined as that information which would not generally be considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if disclosed. Students may withhold Directory Information by notifying the Registrar in writing. Please note that such withholding requests are binding for all information to all parties other than for those exceptions allowed under the Act.

Persons under the age of 18 years of age, and who have not been emancipated, cannot enroll into the College or High School without a parent or guardian’s signature. For a student who is under the age of 18 years, all rights regarding education records are given to the student’s parent or guardian.
When we obtain personal information from you, we will provide you with the opportunity to opt out of any third-party disclosure of that information or its use in ways unrelated to the operation of the website. PCDI Canada retains your information in order to evaluate institutional effectiveness. Your information is secured indefinitely to fulfill state, accreditor, legal and other regulatory requirements.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect any personal information you may provide to us. However, we cannot guarantee that your submissions to our website, any content residing on our servers, or any transmissions from our server will be completely secure. The Student Portal and online exams can only be accessed with a valid student username and password. You are responsible for keeping your login information secret and confidential and for notifying us if you believe that your student login information has been stolen or might otherwise be misused.
