OAKVILLE, Ontario - PCDI Canada announced today that Lyana Cineus of Montreal, Quebec, a student in PCDI’s Medical Transcription program, has been awarded a 2016 Access Scholarship by Ashworth College.
Ashworth is PCDI’s US based parent institution and a leading national online school in the US. Ashworth introduced the ACCESS Scholarship Program in 2012 to award a total of $25,000 annually to both prospective and new students enrolled in Ashworth/PCDI career training courses and Ashworth degree programs.
"The ACCESS Scholarship program was developed to honor Gary Keisling, the late President and CEO of Ashworth College,” said Michael Scott, General Manager of PCDI Canada. “Gary’s personal mission was to open the doors of education to those segments of the education population that are underserved by traditional educational institutions. We're excited to be presenting one of these scholarships to a PCDI student."
For more than 25 years Keisling was regarded as an industry leader and advocate for continuing education. His influence on distance education will continue to benefit students for many years to come.
PCDI Canada, based in Oakville, Ontario, is the Canadian division of Ashworth College, a leading US distance educator based in Norcross, Georgia. PCDI has been serving Canadians since 1987.
