PCDI Canada Becomes Member of Career Development Association of Alberta

on Thursday, 29 December 2016.

DUNDAS, Ontario - PCDI Canada, a leader in integrated, online career training programs, announced it has become an organizational member of the Career Development Association of Alberta (CDAA).

According to Canadian Standards and Guidelines for Career Development Practitioners (2012), career development is "the lifelong process of managing learning, work, leisure, and transitions in order to move toward a personally determined and evolving preferred future." Career Development services are intended to help individuals explore and sort out questions related to employability, direction, skill development, personal development, progression, and making a difference. The CDAA is a professional association that provides support to individuals and organizations involved in helping others realize their career goals.

As a provider of career training programs, PCDI Canada, is intimately involved in career development.

"PCDI Canada is a member of the community of career development service providers and is interested in associating with other members of that community," Michael Scott, General Manager of PCDI Canada said. "The CDAA is an organization through which individuals and organizations involved in various aspects of career development can join together and participate in professional connection, standard setting and related initiatives. The CDAA is a natural fit for PCDI Canada given PCDI's activities in Alberta and across Canada."

The CDAA, a professional and voluntary association established and registered with the Alberta Societies Act in 1997, is a professional association of approximately 300 members from all corners of Alberta, Northwest Territories, Yukon, other areas of Canada, the United States, and abroad.

PCDI Canada, based in Dundas, Ontario, is the Canadian division of Ashworth College, a leading U.S. accredited online educator based in Norcross, Georgia. PCDI has provided non-traditional Canadian students with educational opportunities since 1987.
