PCDI Canada and Healthcare – A Strong Tradition

on Tuesday, 15 December 2015.

OAKVILLE, Ontario - The healthcare field continues to be a good one for job seekers, and you don't have to spend years in university to qualify.  Whether its work in a doctor's office or hospital, a dentist's office or clinic, a veterinary practice, or a pharmacy, in physiotherapy, personal fitness or even in home care, opportunities for that first job or for career advancement are there.

Foundation training in the healthcare field is an important part of PCDI Canada's mandate. "We've recognized the importance of healthcare as a source of jobs and career advancement opportunities for many years," said Michael Scott, General Manager of PCDI Canada. "We continue to supplement our healthcare training programs at every opportunity.  Also, whenever possible, we include in our programs, at no extra charge, the professional certification or membership that can provide our graduates and students with a tangible connection to their chosen career or specific employers within that field."

PCDI's healthcare training programs include Medical Office Assistant (National HealthCareer Association certification included), Medical Transcription (Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity certification included), Dental Office Assistant, Physical Therapy Aide, Personal Trainer (National Council on Strength and Fitness certification included), Nutrition, Diet and Health Science (National Food Safety Program certification included), Retail Pharmacy Assistant, Home Health Aide, and Veterinary Assistant (National Association of Veterinary Technologists in America membership included).

PCDI Canada, based in Oakville, Ontario, is the Canadian division of Ashworth College, a leading US distance educator based in Norcross, Georgia. PCDI has been serving Canadians since 1987.
